Vi-Link MD10G Copper Small Form Pluggable (SFP) Transceiver

The Vi-Link MD10G Copper Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceiver is a high-performance, cost-effective module compliant with the 10GBASE-T, 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, and 1000BASE-T standards as defined in IEEE 802.3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab. This compliance ensures seamless integration into existing Ethernet network infrastructures, supporting data rates up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 100 meters using unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) Category cable.

A key feature of the MD10G module is its efficient utilization of the SFP interface pins: the RX_LOS pin serves as a link indication signal (which must be pulled up on the host), while the TX_DISABLE pin can be used to reset the PHY IC, enabling convenient network management and maintenance.

Designed for both performance and cost efficiency, the MD10G provides standard serial identification information compliant with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). This information is accessible via the 2-wire serial CMOS EEPROM protocol at address A0h, ensuring straightforward integration and configuration within network systems.
