Fiber Optic SFP Housing

Vi-Link Small Form Factor Pluggable housing provides the system designer with a product to implement a range of solutions for multimode and single mode fibers physical layers and other services.
The transmitter section utilizes standard 850nm, 1300nm, 1550nm lasers, and CWDM lasers from 1270nm to 1610nm. These lasers are packaged in the optical subassembly portion of the transmitter section. It is driven by a custom silicon IC that converts differential PECL logic signals, ECL referenced (shifted) to a +3.3 V Supply. The receiver section utilizes an InGaAs PIN photodiode coupled to a custom silicon trans-impedance preamplifier IC. It is packaged in the optical subassembly portion of the receiver. This PIN/preamplifier combination is coupled to a custom quantizer IC which provides the final pulse shaping for the logic output and the Loss of Signal (LOS) function.
